Itinerant Services
Technician Support:

CNYRIC can provide trained technicians, assigned as itinerants, between two or more districts. Itinerants can also be utilized as "hourly" on call support staff. They are trained to run diagnostic testing and invoke repair on hardware and software, infrastructure support or network server support throught the CNYRIC. The technician staff at the CNYRIC supports, at various levels, literally hundreds of local and wide area networks and their components.

Remote Server Administration:

This service provides centralized network administration for the support of district file servers. This includes the maintenance of Network Operating Systems, support of application software as it resides on the server, administration of user accounts, and server security (user rights, access groups). Diagnostic troubleshooting of problems and recommendations for upgrades is included (when neccessary). All support will be performed via data communication lines using remote control software/hardware.

Remote Server Backup/Disaster Recovery:

This service provides secure dedicated storage capabilities for the backup and disaster recovery of district file server data.

The following items are included in this package:
  • Initial setup of the server backup, including automatic transmission of data
  • Remote daily monitoring of backup process for successful completion
  • Diagnostic trouble shooting and remote restore of files (when necessary)
  • Phone assistance to district personnel for problems
